This evening, Monday, 15th January, 2024, the DG of Ruhengeri Hospital, Dr. MUHIRE Philbert, has received a Team of Visitors from Operation Smile, led by Mr. Andrew KARIMA, Country Manager.

Together with the Hospital Management visited the site, observing and analysing the progress of the Project of the New Facility under construction.

In general, the progress so far made is promising as, with this project, Perioperative Services have been renovated and upgraded to serve as an additional Main Teaching Site for Surgery and Perioperative Services, whereby the number of Surgical Theaters expanded from 3 to 4, 6 beds Recovery Room created, HDU and ICU renovated and upgraded, Sterilization Room, OPD, Teaching Room, ...).

The official launch is scheduled in March 2024.
