Today, Tuesday, 30^th July, 2024, it was really a great pleasure for Ruhengeri Hospital to welcome Dr. Cam Hollows, the Son of Prof. Fred Hollows & Global Ambassador of the Fred Hollows Foundation, one of its Partners in Eye Health Care, under the Umbrella of the Ministry of Health.

With the Delegation he was leading, they have been received by the Vice Mayor of Musanze District in Charge of Social Affairs, Mr. Theobald KAYIRANGA, the Director General of the Hospital, Dr. Philbert MUHIRE, and other Officials and the Eye Unit staff.

The purpose of the visit was to witness the impact of the support from the Fred Hollows to the Ministry of health at the health care delivery level.

At the Hospital, they received a brief description of the hospital from the Hospital DG and  visited the Eye Care Clinic and discussed with some of the Patients.

After this, accompanied by the Director General, the team left the Hospital for visiting one of the Beneficiaries, Mr. MPIRANYA Jean Baptiste (Bilateral Cataract Surgery) in Cyuve Sector, Migeshi Cell, Gakenke Village, in Musanze District, in which th Hospital is located.
